Minnie Marks

right

With an insane talent that’s out of control playing what she calls dirty sweet rock & roll this young singer/songwriter/guitarist/multi instrumentalist has been eating up girl bands since 1994.

Minnie Marks is not just some blazingly electrified acoustic guitar playing freak of nature, but also a rare and triple threat: Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Be warned, her show will take you on a dizzying, riff rock rollercoaster ride with songs written over the past years of her musical journey around the world.

19 Twenty

right

19-Twenty have been whipping up a frenzy on the festival scene. They are electric. They are manic. An infectious riff and groove based blue-billy-grass-rockin'-roots band.

Imagine walking into a bar a little bit cut and a little bent sideways. You look to the stage, lights are turned down, amps cranked up. You hear one part Gary Clark Jnr, one part Black Keys, and a whole lot of drunken sailor. This is what the latest single ‘Sailor Jerry’ conjures.

Phil Barlow & The Wolf

right

Meet the Australian band dishing out a musical feast of gritty, growling notes and tones, hooky rock riffs and flavours of funk that have fans literally howling for more and, on many occasions, throwing bras on stage - Phil Barlow and The Wolf.

Currently touring their second studio album, The Awakening, a reviewer counted herself as one of the many “wannabe Red Riding Hoods in the audience,” while another recently said, “By the end of the set, I was a full blown fan-boy.”

There’s no doubt these guys are leaving their mark wherever they go, including stand-out performances at Blues on Broadbeach and Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues Fest.

The Hoochers

right

The Hoochers, fronted by the husky tones and sassy presence of Miss Jodie, incorporate slick and funky dance tunes with plenty of magical jamming moments.

The Hoochers are a concoction of experienced musicians from, or based around the North Coast of NSW.

One of the great joys in experiencing the Hoochers is to watch, and be drawn into their free flowing on-stage communication. These guys seem to be inside each other's minds and take every opportunity to break out of the formula and throw in a ‘moment’ – meaning that no two gigs are the same and spontaneity always prevails. Even better, this stuff is infectious – and you'll soon find yourself participating in the groovergy!
