Redheaded women have long been a symbol of dangerous desire in movies, books and music. Lozz Benson aka That Red Head is staking a proud claim as the latest in a long line of flame-haired femme fatales by breaking stereotypes and being the creative force behind the music.

Before deciding to front her own band Lozz played and toured with artists including Urthboy, Pat Capocci & Sirens Big Band. Since forming in 2016 That Red Head has supported The Snowdroppers, Papa Pilko and the Binrats, Jesse Redwing, Jason Walker and Slim Jim Phantom (The Stray Cats).
Lozz has previously collaborated with artists such as Paul Kelly, Steve Smyth, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Green Mohair Suits, Chris D’Rozario (Brian Setzer) Sandy Evans (OAM, The Catholics), Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil), Zoe Hauptmann (Katie Noonan, Neil Finn) and Ryan Hazel (The Fumes). She supported The Darkness with Sydney punk outfit Rackett last year on their tour of Australia, as well as playing shows with Golden Guitar Winner and Aria nominated vocalist Fanny Lumsden. Last year Lozz also won Drumteks AUDW Best female drummer award – winning endorsements from by DW, Promark and Evans as well as being featured in Australia’s Drum Scene Magazine.
