Nicole is inspired by Nina Simone, Bessi Smith, Diana Krall, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Diana Washington & all the legendary ladies of Jazz & Blues.She delivers with the passion of Eva Cassidy & upbeat energy of from Stray Cats to Mose Alison.Nicole also brings modern songs & turns them into her own unique diverse style.She’s been singing the Jazz & Blues & payin her dues most of her life having been surrounded by generations of a musical family.Nicoles experience years ago travelling the world visiting the clubs, bars and music venues & dipping her big toe into the jazz & blues scene while living in London & travelling throughout Europe, gave her a taste to follow a life of performing.
Nicole has played with many fantastic musicians & bands over the years….from Soul,Funk, Jazz & Blues including her own original songs. However her favourite times were having the honour of sharing the stage with legendary blues & jazz artist the late 'Wiley Reed', performing shows with a Eva Cassidy, Chuck Brown vein. They packed out venues, as they merged their bands together & created magic before untimely passing Wiley.
Encouragement & belief from late great Wiley, & her close musical friends, loyal fans & family gives her drive & direction to keep building on her career & after playing as the feature singer with many great bands has gone out under her own name.
