Stallholder Terms & Conditions

Mitchell Creek Rock ‘n’ Blues Fest – Queensland, Australia

By applying for and/or attending as a Stallholder at the Mitchell Creek Rock ‘n’ Blues Fest (“the Event”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:


1. Stallholder Approval & Allocation

  • All stallholders must apply and be approved by the Event Organiser before attending.

  • Stall space is allocated at the discretion of the Organiser and may be changed at any time for operational or safety reasons.

  • Stallholders must trade only within the space allocated and must not sub-let, share or transfer their site without prior written approval.


2. Licences, Permits & Compliance

  • Stallholders must hold all necessary permits and approvals required by Queensland law, including but not limited to:

    • Queensland Food Business Licence (if applicable)

    • Temporary Food Stall Permits (if applicable)

    • Gas/Electrical Safety Certificates (where relevant)

  • Stallholders must comply with all local council, Queensland Government and Work Health & Safety requirements.


3. Insurance

  • Stallholders must provide a current Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance with a minimum of $20 million cover.

  • If selling food, drinks or other consumables, the policy must specifically cover product liability.

  • Proof of insurance must be supplied prior to bump-in.


4. Stall Operations

  • Stallholders must operate during the advertised trading hours of the Event.

  • All staff must wear appropriate identification (wristbands, passes, etc.) provided by the Organiser.

  • Stalls must be set up and ready by the specified opening time and must not be dismantled before closing time unless directed by the Organiser.

  • Stallholders must maintain their stall in a clean, safe and presentable condition at all times.


5. Food & Beverage Sales

  • No alcohol may be sold or given away by stallholders.

  • Food and beverage stallholders must comply with all Queensland Health food safety requirements.

  • Single-use plastics and non-biodegradable packaging are discouraged; environmentally friendly packaging is preferred.


6. Safety & Equipment

  • All electrical equipment must be tested and tagged in accordance with Australian Standards.

  • Gas bottles and cooking appliances must comply with relevant safety codes and be positioned safely away from the public.

  • Stallholders must ensure that their structures (tents, marquees, vehicles) are secure and able to withstand wind/weather conditions.

  • Fire extinguishers must be provided where cooking or electrical equipment is used.


7. Fees & Payment

  • Stall fees must be paid in full by the due date specified by the Organiser.

  • Fees are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

  • No stallholder may operate until all fees are paid.


8. Waste Management

  • Stallholders are responsible for removing their own rubbish and waste.

  • Waste must be disposed of in the bins provided or removed from site.

  • Stall areas must be left clean and free of rubbish at the end of the Event. A cleaning fee may apply if this condition is not met.


9. Access, Vehicles & Parking

  • Vehicle access is strictly controlled. Stallholders must follow bump-in and bump-out instructions provided by the Organiser.

  • No vehicles are permitted to remain in stallholder areas during trading hours unless expressly authorised.

  • Parking will be available in designated areas only.


10. Security & Liability

  • Stallholders are responsible for their own property, stock, equipment and cash at all times.

  • The Organiser will not be liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury or accident, however caused.

  • Stallholders are liable for any damage caused to the Event site, facilities or other stallholders.


11. Behaviour & Conduct

  • Stallholders and their staff must behave professionally and respectfully at all times.

  • Offensive, unsafe, disorderly or illegal conduct will result in immediate removal from the Event.

  • Stallholders must comply with any reasonable directions given by Event staff, security or emergency services.


12. Cancellation & Termination

  • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone or relocate the Event at its sole discretion.

  • In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control (e.g. weather, natural disaster, public health orders), no refunds will be issued unless required by law.

  • Stallholders who fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions may have their site terminated immediately without refund.


13. Indemnity

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, stallholders indemnify and hold harmless the Event Organiser, staff, contractors, volunteers and associated parties from all claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries or liabilities arising from their participation in the Event.
